In Memoriam: Remembering Brian Maidment

Brian Maidment, a former president of RSVP, but more, a friend to many of us, and mentor to even more, passed away on January 28, 2025.
Brian was the author of many books and articles on, as he put it, “down market mass circulation print culture” of the early nineteenth century, with a focus on graphic humor, caricature, and satire. In a tribute to Brian a few months before his death, Clare Pettitt captured what many of us feel:
