Special Event Honoring Past President, Brian Maidment

Save the Date for Nov. 22

Please join us for an oral festschrift for Brian Maidment, whose extensive research (on illustrations in early-19th century periodicals, on caricatures and graphic satire, on Seymour and Hogarth, amongst others) and whose formidable knowledge and collection of comic prints has guided, opened doors, and inspired so many of us.

We will hear brief remarks from a few colleagues about the impact and influence of Brian’s work on their own and then open the floor to comments from others who would like to share. Brian, always modest, is both embarrassed at the attention and also pleased to be able to see, if only on a screen, so many friends.
