Tradition and the New
University of Salford, Manchester, UK, 12-13 July, 2013
The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals held its annual conference at the University of Salford in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University, on 12th and 13th July 2013. The conference theme for 2013 was “Tradition and the New” which explored new approaches to nineteenth-century periodicals. Salford Museum and Art Gallery, said to be the first unconditionally free public library in England, hosted a reception on July 12th. The Main event took place in the Lady Margaret Hale Building on the Peel Park Campus.
